For general gear we recommend starting with REI as they usually have the greatest selection in many sports. Start with them to get outfitted for your whitewater kayaking, whitewater rafting, sea kayaking and trekking trips. |

If you can't find what you need at REI you may want to try Altrec Outdoors and Backcountry. Atrec Outdoors has an impressive paddle shop and Backcountry carries a great line of gear for trekking and campimg. Backcountry also carries an impressive line of kayak paddles. We found that EMS carries a complete line of clothing with less emphasis on equipment. Patagonia is our absolute favorite line of clothing for its solid construction and functionality. |

For Mountain Biking we recommend Performance, Bike Nashbar and also REI with has a more limited line of clothing and gear. |

For fly fishing our favorite shop is Orvis. Orvis has it all and is the perfect place to get outfitted before coming to Patagonia. If you can't find it at Orvis we suggest trying Cabelas. |

For horseback riding we selected State Line Tack as the shop having all the gear you will need for your trip. They have a complete line of clothes by Ariat that will get you fully outfitted for riding in Patagonia. |

If you are looking discounted gear and equipment try Sierra Trading Post. They often have great deals on all the major brand names but they tend to sell out of items quickly. |
