Brief Route Description:
This is the suggested route for our employees or those looking for a comfortable but discounted way to get to Futalefu. To correlate travels with our trip in Futaleufú in the quickest and most efficient way, we recommend departing one's home country on Thursday afternoon to arrive in Buenos Aires as early as possible on Friday morning. Allow three hours from the arrival of one's flight for clearing customs and ground transport to the departure of the bus from Estacion Terminal de Omnibus Retiro. Board a luxury double decker bus for a relaxing ride across the pampas  to Esquel. Enjoy the opportunity to see some of Argentina's amazing landscapes while in one of the country's most comfortable forms of travel. These buses are unlike anything seen in the States; the seats recline and can be described as a throne that reclines to horizontal. Hot meals, drinks and more comfort than first class on a plane. Best of all, bring an ipod, book and earplugs and kick the jet lag as the bus makes its way through Argentina's Pampa region, famous for its Gauchos, rolling hills and sprawling Estancias. Wake in the morning as the bus heads toward the Ande's Steepe dotted with pristine glacial lakes and towering glaciers in the nearby Andes Mountains. Stretch out in Bariloche and enjoy the scenery while changing buses. In Esquel, grab a taxi to Trevelin, the gateway to the Andes and the Futaleufu valley. Check into the pre-reserved Casa de Piedra hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening and dinner. The next morning after breakfast (9 a.m.) provided remises/taxis will arrive, and drive our guests to the border. An exchile representative will meet you at the border at 9:45 a.m. to help with your crossing into Chile and take you to the nearby start of your trip.  At the end of the trip Exchile takes you to the border in the evening where a remis/taxi will take you to Hotel Casa de Piedra in Trevelin.  The following morning call a cab to the Esquel bus terminal for a bus to Bariloche. Change buses in Bariloche then start the overnight trip towards Buenos Aires. The bus will arrive in Buenos Aires at mid day and allow for exploration of the city before evening departure back to the States.

Taxis and buses are available at the Esquel Bus terminal for transport to Trevelin. Employees can take a bus from the Esquel bus terminal to the Border of Chile on Monday and Friday. There is a morning and evening bus.
