TRAVEL INSURANCE
Expediciones Chile highly recommends the purchase of travel insurance.
The price of all trips does not include insurance for medical coverage, emergency evacuation or trip cancellation/disruption. We highly encourage all travelers to purchase insurance for trips to Futaleufú, due to the remoteness of the area and the heightened chance of altered flights or lost luggage. Additionally, evacuation and medical expenses in distant areas can exceed the coverage offered by many basic insurance plans. It is important to check the policy details before departing.

Travel insurance is mandatory for those traveling to Torres del Paine or Los Glaciares National Park (Fitz Roy). Travel insurance is necessary to participate in these trips. The details regarding proof of insurance is covered in our downloadable trip application. We will need to have a faxed copy of the policy at least 30 days prior to departure to Torres del Paine or Los Glaciares.

There are many excellent companies offering this specific type of travel insurance. For the convenience of our guests, we have made it possible to purchase this travel insurance directly off the Expediciones Chile website from Travel Guard International.

Our company has had good results with Travel Guard backing our clients on the rare occasion of cancellation to a trip or missed flight. If something adverse does happen Expediciones Chile will find a solution and it is best to have Travel Guard to fund it.
